Oliver Brignall - is a composer and a tenor. He holds a PhD from Brunel University and read music at Canterbury Christchurch University. He was a Chorister at Westminster Abbey.
Residencies and premiers include Britten-Pears 2013, Mahogany Opera ‘Various-Stages 2017’ (opera - Palace Of Junk), V&A arstist in residence 2017/18 (opera - ROLES with Metta Theatre), LSO Soundhub Associate 2017-19 (song cycle; I Do Need Me, also with Metta theatre). He has been performed by Distractfold, The Riot Ensemble and The Jetpack Collective. Current projects include an Opera “The Anchorite’ with Jerwood/FVU award winning artist, Richard Whitby and working again with the Riot Ensemble and PRS foundation writing two solo pieces.

A passionate performer of new music, Oliver continues to collaborate as a performer with (among others) composers Neil Luck and Stephen Crowe (premiering Francis Bacon Opera, The Dorty Letters Of James Joyce and The Pterodactyls Of Ptexas, all written for him, in Berlin and London). Concert apperences include Martijn Padding’s …And Trees Would Sing (Riot Ensemble) and Claude Vivier’s Glaubst Du An Die Unsterblichkeit Der Seele (Filthy Lucre).
